I Wanna Be
After taking two weeks off from work … the one thing that kept going through my mind is “I wanna be ____”.
I wanna be a better person … I wanna be a better follower of Christ … I wanna be a better daughter … a better sister … I want to be a better worker. I simply want to be the best that I can be … not the best at what I do, but the best person I can be. ‘Cause being the best at what you do doesn’t bring happiness. Sure … it’s good to be good at what you do, but if that’s all you strive for, somewhere along the road you will feel empty.
